Le 15 ao\u00fbt, les Talibans entrent dans Kaboul, la capitale de l'Afghanistan. Apr\u00e8s des semaines pass\u00e9es \u00e0 prendre le contr\u00f4le de la majeure partie du pays, ils ont finalement pu prendre le pouvoir lorsque le pr\u00e9sident Ashraf Ghani a annonc\u00e9 sa d\u00e9mission et a quitt\u00e9 le pays. Depuis lors, l\u2019Afghanistan fait quotidiennement la une de l\u2019actualit\u00e9. Et, loin du camp de Nea Kavala, Shakiba et Hossein estiment que consulter leurs r\u00e9seaux sociaux est \u00ab vraiment difficile de nos jours \u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shakiba a d\u00fb quitter l'Afghanistan \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge de quatre ans. Sa m\u00e8re lui a dit que ce n'\u00e9tait plus s\u00fbr, \u00ab non seulement dans notre ville, Baghlan, mais dans la plupart des r\u00e9gions du pays \u00bb, explique-t-elle. La famille a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 au Kazakhstan puis en Gr\u00e8ce, o\u00f9 elle vit depuis deux ans. Elle a presque 19 ans maintenant et elle se souvient \u00e0 peine de son pays natal. Hossein n'a aucun souvenir de l'Afghanistan. Sa famille est originaire de la province de Daikondi, mais il est n\u00e9 en Iran. Apr\u00e8s avoir v\u00e9cu quelque temps en Turquie, ils ont d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 en Gr\u00e8ce l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Il a 20 ans maintenant et il n\u2019a pas encore vu l\u2019Afghanistan. "Mais je suis toujours \u00e0 la recherche d'informations parce que c'est mon pays et je me soucie vraiment de lui", dit-il. Il discute \u00e9galement r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement avec son cousin, qui le tient au courant de ce qui se passe avec le reste de la famille. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quand j'\u00e9tais jeune, je n'ai pas vu mon pays\u2026 Mais je me sens vraiment triste ces jours-ci parce que c'est mon peuple qui souffre.<\/p>Hossein, 20 ans<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Malgr\u00e9 des histoires diff\u00e9rentes, tous deux partagent une exp\u00e9rience similaire. Ils sont jeunes et font face \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9loignement physique \u2013 mais aussi psychologique \u2013 de leur pays d\u2019origine. "En tant que jeune, je n'ai pas vu mon pays, donc je ne peux pas me sentir comme les Afghans en ce moment", explique Hossein. "Mais en m\u00eame temps, je me sens vraiment triste parce que c'est mon peuple qui souffre". Pour Shakiba, la situation est \u00ab trop difficile m\u00eame si elle n\u2019est pas l\u00e0 \u00bb. \u00ab Imaginez ce que cela peut \u00eatre pour les gens qui y vivent \u00bb, ajoute-t-elle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce sentiment est probablement partag\u00e9 par un grand nombre de personnes en dehors de l\u2019Afghanistan. Plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, parmi les 2,6 millions de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s enregistr\u00e9s, selon Amnesty International. Comme l\u2019explique le Haut-Commissariat des Nations Unies pour les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s (HCR), les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s afghans constituent l\u2019une des plus grandes situations de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s prolong\u00e9es au monde et l\u2019une des plus grandes crises de d\u00e9placement de l\u2019histoire moderne. En effet, pendant trois d\u00e9cennies, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la guerre en Syrie, l\u2019Afghanistan a \u00e9t\u00e9 le pays comptant le plus grand nombre de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s en fuite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon les chiffres de l'Organisation internationale pour les migrations (OIM) de mai 2021, plus de 1 300 personnes vivent dans le camp de Nea Kavala, dont 55,4% viennent d'Afghanistan. Open Cultural Center travaille avec de nombreux r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s afghans de Nea Kavala, et Shakiba et Hossein sont effectivement b\u00e9n\u00e9voles au sein de OCC. Interrog\u00e9 sur l'ambiance ces jours-ci dans le camp, Hossein r\u00e9pond : \u00ab Nous sommes simplement tristes parce que nous ne pouvons rien faire pour notre pays. Nous essayons juste de suivre l'actualit\u00e9, c'est tout ce que nous pouvons faire malheureusement \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Incertitude \u00bb est le mot qui d\u00e9crit la nouvelle situation du peuple afghan \u2013 vivant dans le pays et \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur \u2013, du moins pour le moment. D'un c\u00f4t\u00e9, les talibans ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 une amnistie pour tous les agents publics et promis le respect des droits des femmes et de la libert\u00e9 de la presse. D'un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, le prix de la burqa a quintupl\u00e9, elle emp\u00eache les Afghans d'atteindre l'a\u00e9roport de Kaboul et les photos de citoyens d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9s tentant de fuir le pays sont devenues virales en ligne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tout cas, Shakiba et Hossein n'h\u00e9sitent pas \u00e0 dire qu'ils ne font pas confiance aux talibans. Shakiba pense que \u00ab ce sont les premiers jours qu'ils sont au gouvernement, alors ils disent des choses pour que les gens les acceptent. Mais apr\u00e8s cela, ils vont probablement changer les lois \u00bb. Et Hossein est d\u2019accord. \u00ab Ils font preuve de gentillesse \u00bb, dit-il, \u00ab mais je pense que c'est strat\u00e9gique et qu'ils attendent que le monde accepte leur gouvernement \u00bb.
