The CREATE project funded by the European Union and implemented by Faros (Greece and Project Coordinator), Glossomatheia (Greece), Generation for Change CY (Cyprus), Oxfam Italia (Italy), Dedalus Cooperativa Sociale (Italy), Open Cultural Centre (Spain) and French Red Cross (France), aims to empower migrant teenagers to integrate into host communities and the formal education system. The e-learning platform is a critical component of this project, aiming to make teaching materials and training courses accessible to teachers across Europe.
The primary objectives of this E-learning platform are to:
• Develop a user-friendly e-learning platform that is accessible to teachers across Europe.
• Provide access to the project’s teaching materials (student books and teacher’s manuals that are already developed in English, Greek, Italian, Spanish, and French).
• Ensure the platform is compatible with various platforms to minimize maintenance costs.
• Establish a means for scaling the impact of the project and spreading the benefits of the teaching framework.
Scope of Work
The external developer will be responsible for:
• Designing and developing the e-learning platform based on the provided concept.
• Ensuring the platform is user-friendly, accessible, and compatible with Google Classroom or a similar platform.
• Uploading and organizing the teaching materials and training course content in the specified languages.
• Implementing a log-in phase for users to provide basic information.
• Integrating a system for measuring results, including downloads, completed courses, if any, feedback, and potentially test results.
• Providing technical support and maintenance for the platform.
Deliverables
The external developer will deliver:
• A fully functional e-learning platform that meets the project requirements.
• A user guide for the platform.
• Training materials and course content in the specified languages.
• A system for measuring results.
Technical Expertise
• Proven experience in developing e-learning platforms.
• Strong knowledge of web development technologies and frameworks.
• Experience with Google Classroom integration or similar platforms.
• Ability to implement a user-friendly and accessible platform.
• Content Management & Language Support
User Management & Analytics
• Experience implementing user authentication and login systems.
• Capability to integrate analytics for tracking user engagement, downloads, course completion, and feedback.
Project Management & Communication
• Ability to provide technical support and maintenance.
• Experience in delivering user guides and documentation.
• Strong communication skills for regular reporting and collaboration with the project team.
