In Spain, OCC’s work primarily takes place in Barcelona, particularly in the neighbourhood of El Born, where its main office is located. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and the capital of the autonomous community of Catalonia. OCC also operates in Moianès, a rural area an hour north of Barcelona, where it runs its Youth4All project.
Throughout its activities, OCC Spain focuses on creating inclusive communities and opportunities for exchange between local inhabitants and newcomers both from other European countries and from all over the world.,

Language Lab

MigraCode برشلونة

CodeWomen

الشباب للجميع
"الشباب للجميع" هو مشروع يهدف إلى تحرير واستقلال الشباب الوافدين الجدد في المناطق الريفية. وينفذه OCC إسبانيا، وهو يستهدف الشباب من أصول مهاجرة والذين ليس لديهم مراجع عائلية و/أو بالغة في كتالونيا وتركوا بدون حماية الدولة. ويحصل القُصَّر (أقل من 18 عامًا) على الحماية من الدولة، ولكن بمجرد بلوغهم سن 18 عامًا، لم يعد بإمكانهم الوصول إلى هذا الدعم. وفي إطار هذا المشروع، توفر لهم OCC السكن والتدريب والدعم. ويقع المشروع في مويانيس، وهي منطقة ريفية في وسط كتالونيا، ويتراوح التدريب المقدم بين المهارات الزراعية والغابات و/أو الرقمية، بالإضافة إلى دروس اللغة والأنشطة التطوعية.
Refugees Welcome
Open Cultural Center also welcomes Refugees Welcome Spain to its team in Spain, with both entities working together to promote the inclusion of migrant and refugee people in Spain and contributing to the creation of a more welcoming and open society. Refugees Welcome is a non-profit organisation and a movement that works towards pairing displaced people with housing, coordinating flatshares and houseshares in various countries around the world. Through their work, hundreds of refugees are sharing flats with local people, making it easier for them to start their new life.
Labour insertion programmes
Open Cultural Center promotes the social and labour inclusion through several different labour and training programmes, tailored to people in vulnerable situations.
Thanks to the Work and Training Programme of the Servei Públic d’Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC) and to the support from the Social European Fund Plus (SEF+), we offer work opportunities and training to groups that face greater barriers when accessing the labour market, through the following programmes:
- ACOL : labour insertion for people in irregular administrative situations
- ESAL : Recruitment, training and support for people with difficulties in accessing the labour market or in a vulnerable situation.
- TRFO JOVES : Labour insertion of young people in vulnerable situations, both those currently under guardianship and ex-guardianship.
- TRANS, DONA i DLLD : Opportunities for women in vulnerable situations, trans people and/or in long-term unemployment
This programme is promoted and subsidised by the SOC and co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), within the framework of the FSE+ Catalonia 2021-2027 Programme.
